1. Agreement to these terms
By downloading or using the Jigsaw Puzzle app ("the app") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
These terms are an agreement between you and Srchout Software ("we", "us", "our"), the maker of the app. When you first open the app, you are asked to accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Who can use the app
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use the app. If you are under 18, please review these terms with a parent or guardian.
3. Using the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app or its content, except where the law allows it.
The app is licensed to you, not sold. All rights not expressly granted in these terms are reserved by Srchout Software.
4. Acceptable use
When using the app, you agree not to:
- hack, modify or tamper with the app, or use cheats, bots or other tools to change how it works;
- click ads you are not interested in, use tools that automatically view or click ads, or otherwise create fake ad activity;
- block, hide or change the ads in a way that breaks the app or its reward features;
- try to get into our systems, image servers or other users' devices, or interfere with the app's servers or networks;
- use the app for anything unlawful or in a way that harms Srchout Software or others.
5. Content
The app, its design and its puzzle images are owned by Srchout Software or used under licence from their owners. You may not extract or reuse the images outside the app.
The name "Jigsaw Puzzle by Srchout Software", our logos and the app's look and feel are ours. Google Play, the App Store and other names belong to their owners.
6. Ads and rewards
The app is free and supported by ads. Hints and other in-app rewards have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged or transferred, and may be changed or removed at any time.
Ads in the app are provided by Google AdMob and other third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for the content of ads, or for the websites, products or services they link to. Your use of Google's services is also subject to Google's Terms of Service.
In particular:
- Points are earned by finishing puzzles (5 points each) and can be spent on hints in the app. They are not money, cannot be bought, sold or cashed out, and are lost if your progress is reset or the app is uninstalled.
- Rewarded ads are optional. If you watch one to the end, you receive the reward shown (for example a free hint). If an ad fails to load or doesn't finish, no reward may be given.
- We may change the number of hints, the cost of hints in points, or how rewards work, to keep the game fair and balanced.
7. Third-party services
The app uses services from other companies, including Google AdMob (ads), Google Firebase (analytics and crash reports) and Cloudflare (puzzle picture delivery). Links in the app, such as "Rate this app", may take you to Google Play, the App Store, your web browser or your email app. Those services are run by their owners under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects and how it is used.
To delete your data, see Delete your data.
9. Availability and changes
We may update, change or stop offering the app or any feature at any time. Your progress is stored on your device, and we are not responsible for progress lost if the app is uninstalled, its data is cleared or your device is lost.
Some features, such as downloading new puzzle pictures and showing ads, need an internet connection, and mobile data charges from your provider may apply. Updates may be needed to keep using the app, and older devices or operating systems may stop being supported.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access to the app if you break these terms or misuse the app.
If your access ends, the licence in section 3 ends too. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as Content, Disclaimer and General) keep applying.
11. Disclaimer
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, Srchout Software is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app.
We do not promise that the app will always be available, error-free or free of interruptions, or that every puzzle picture will always be available. Because the app is free, to the extent permitted by law our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it, if any.
12. Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded or limited by agreement, or our liability for anything that cannot legally be excluded, such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
13. App Store and Google Play
These terms are between you and Srchout Software, not Apple Inc. or Google LLC. Srchout Software, not Apple or Google, is responsible for the app, its content, maintenance and support, and for handling any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory claims and claims that the app infringes someone else's intellectual property. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, you may use it only on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service. If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
If you downloaded the app from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.
14. General
- Whole agreement: these terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the app.
- If part is invalid: if a court decides any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- No waiver: if we don't enforce part of these terms straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Transfer: we may transfer these terms to another company if the app is sold or transferred. You may not transfer your rights under these terms.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the new terms.
The latest version is always on this page, and the effective date above shows when it last changed.
