Playing

How do I play?

Pick a level or a Daily Puzzle, then drag pieces from the scrolling tray at the bottom onto the board. When a piece is in the right spot it snaps into place with a click and a vibration. Place every piece to reveal the finished picture.

How do levels work?

Level 1 has 30 pieces, and each level adds more, up to 400 pieces. Finishing a level unlocks the next one.

What is the Daily Puzzle?

A new 49-piece puzzle every day. You can also go back and play the previous days' puzzles from the Daily Puzzles list.

What tools can help me?
  • Edge pieces only: show just the border pieces so you can build the frame first.
  • Tidy: send loose pieces on the board back to the tray.
  • Hints: place a piece for you (3 per puzzle).
  • Hold to preview: hold the eye button to see the full picture.
  • Board background: switch between 5 board colours.

Points, ranks and hints

How do I earn points?

You earn 5 points for every puzzle you finish. Your points move you up the ranks: Beginner, Apprentice, Puzzler, Skilled, Expert, Master and Grandmaster.

I've run out of hints. How do I get more?

Each puzzle comes with 3 hints. When they're used up, you can spend 50 points to get 2 more hints, or watch a short video for a free hint.

Progress and settings

Is my progress saved?

Yes, automatically. You can leave in the middle of a puzzle and continue later. Your progress, points and settings are stored on your device, not online, so they don't carry over to a different device, and they are deleted if you uninstall the app or clear its data.

How do I reset my progress?

Open the Me tab and choose Reset all progress. This deletes your progress, points and settings from the device and can't be undone.

How do I turn off sound or vibration?

Sound and vibration can each be turned on or off in the app's settings in the Me tab.

Troubleshooting

Puzzle pictures aren't loading

New puzzle pictures are downloaded the first time you open them, so check that you're connected to the internet, then try again. Pictures you've already opened are saved on your device and load faster next time.

The app crashed or froze

Close the app completely and open it again; your progress is saved automatically. Make sure you have the latest version from Google Play or the App Store. If it keeps happening, email support@srchoutsoftware.com with your phone model and what you were doing, and we'll look into it.

Why do I see ads?

Ads keep Jigsaw Puzzle free. Rewarded videos are always optional: you only watch one if you choose to, for example for a free hint.

I changed phones and lost my progress

Progress is stored only on the device you play on, not online, so it can't be moved to a new phone. On the new phone you start again from level 1.

Account, ads and privacy

Do I need an account?

No. There's no account and no sign-up, and the app doesn't ask for your name or email address.

Is the app free?

Yes. Jigsaw Puzzle is free and supported by ads, which are provided by Google AdMob.

How do I change my ad privacy choices?

Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent before showing personalised ads. In those places you can change your choice at any time under Me → Ad privacy settings. Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.

What data does the app collect?

Your progress, points and settings stay on your device. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, and the app uses Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for usage statistics and crash reports. The Privacy Policy has the full details.

How do I delete my data?

Use Me → Reset all progress or uninstall the app to delete everything stored on your device. To request deletion of analytics or crash data associated with your device, email us at support@srchoutsoftware.com. The Delete your data page explains the steps.
